Hello. My name is Bonnie, and I’m opening this account for my husband Robert.
Robert developed neuropathy in his right leg. There was no blood flow to his leg, which caused his foot to swell up and crack open. The foot, leg, and bone eventually became infected, so the leg had to be amputated. This happened on November 22nd at Christiana Hospital-Newark.
Robert had begun the process of getting a prosthetic leg, but his insurance (Aetna/Medicare) will only cover 80%, which leaves a balance of $4714.66, money we don’t have. They said the payment either has to be paid in full or paid via a payment plan. We don’t have the money to pay in full, nor are we able to make payments on it, as our income is fixed (both of us are on disability due to CKD. We are both in dialysis), and is used to cover our monthly expenses. When Robert gets his prosthesis, he will be able to go back to work, which will help relieve our financial burden.
Any help you are able to give us will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Bonnie and Robert
