How much can a family take?!
The owners of Riverview RV Park in Ruidoso New Mexico, Jason and Lindsey Fulcher, and their two kids have endured a year of relentless disaster and heartbreak. Every time they begin to rebuild, another tragedy strikes much harder than the last.
On April 9, 2024 – An electrical fire gutted their home and destroyed nearly everything they owned. After months of battling insurance, there was finally a light at the end of the tunnel so they could rebuild.
On June 17, 2024 – The South Fork and Salt Fires forced them to evacuate and shut down their RV Park, Riverview RV Park Ruidoso. The fires burned so hot they stripped the land of vegetation and left behind hydrophobic soil which repels rain water. This means even the smallest amount of rain can trigger dangerous flash floods and destructive debris flows.
On June 29, July 9, July 10, and July 20 also in 2024 – The flooding came. Again and again. Their half-rebuilt home was buried in mud. What little had survived the fire was now gone.
They continued to fight, dig their home and RV Park out with their own hands and continued to remained resilient when most of us would have given up. They were able to reopened their park and start rebuilding their home.
On July 8, 2025 – A flood that changed everything. This flood came with historic and catastrophic proportions.
Everything Jason and Lindsey worked for is gone.
Their home. Their business. Their belongings.
All that’s left is family of four, holding tightly to each other and trying to find the strength to start over.
Please join us, their friends and family restore hope for a family that desperately needs it.
