A brave single mother’s life changed in an instant when a fire destroyed her apartment. She and her three beautiful daughters lost everything. The only things she was able to save were a few important documents — everything else, from clothes to furniture to the girls’ belongings, is gone.

What makes this even harder is that school had just started 6 days ago. The girls had brand new clothes, shoes, and supplies for the year — all of it was lost in the fire. To make matters worse, my best friend did not have renters insurance, so there is no financial help to replace what they lost.

She is now facing the unimaginable challenge of starting completely over with nothing, while still trying to comfort and care for her daughters through this tragedy.
