Dear Friends, Family, and Generous Hearts, I am reaching out on behalf of a very special person, Lizzy, who has been an incredible homecare nurse for our son.

Elizabeth has devoted her life to caring for others, providing unwavering support to families like ours. But now, she finds herself in need after the recent catastrophic storm that ravaged Connecticut.

On August 19, 2024, Elizabeth’s home was severely damaged by flooding. The force of the water was so powerful that it not only destroyed essential appliances like her hot water heater, furnace, washer, and dryer, but also caused structural compromises to her home’s foundation. Large rocks and boulders were thrown across her property, and her basement was filled with six feet of water, leaving behind 5 inches of mud and debris. The flood has left Elizabeth without the basic necessities to maintain her home, and the financial burden is overwhelming. After the electrician assessed the damage, it became clear that the repairs would be extensive and costly. With the foundation’s integrity potentially compromised, Elizabeth needs a structural engineer to evaluate the safety of her home. This, combined with the cost of replacing her appliances and clearing out the mud and water, has created an impossible situation.

Elizabeth has always been there for us, caring for our son through his most challenging moments. Now, it’s our turn to be there for her.

Replacing essential appliances and electrical systems

Clearing and repairing the damage caused by the flood
