Hello, my name is Ashley Jones and I live in North Augusta, SC -

Thank you for taking the time to read this story about my friends, Debbie and Rick Yarbrough.

They are dear to my heart as Debbie is the sister of my dearest friend, Christine McCorkle. They had their home demolished by flood, all the way down to its "bare bones" by Hurricane Helene in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Her husband Rick and a couple of the other men in the neighborhood were able to get at least 15 people out of the rising waters. Here is a news clip you may have seen of them: ABC News Link. At this point, they do not know what insurance will or will not be doing to replace or repair their home, but they have lost everything - cars, home, and clothes.

This fundraiser is to help them financially while they are without a home - It will go towards food, shelter, clothes, and other basic necessities. The funds will go directly to them.

Many of us may not be able to travel to help those in need, but we can reach out financially to help them have shelter, clothes, and hot meals.
