We noticed Bandit started limping on 8/29/25 in the evening. We were nervous it was his broken leg that he previously injured due to a kennel collapsing on him but had since recovered from. We took him to the vet where they performed x-rays. The x-ray shows that his hip is out of its socket. We're unsure how that happened, but he's 8 years old now. It's a hard reality knowing that he's getting older. One thing about Bandit, he lives up to his name. The vet presented 3 options. The first option is to pay for anesthesia and have the hip popped back into place. The problem is finding a vet willing to do that, but there is a high risk of it continuously popping back out. The second but highly recommended option is to have the vets perform surgery where they will shave the hip bone down and place it back into place, but it's costly. The 3rd option is amputation, which is also costly.
I am still calling vets to see who can perform the procedure. But if you would like to help Bandit to become Bandit again, please donate so we can get him help and back on the road to recovery.
