The Eaton Fire consumed so much of the community we love.
This is what’s left of the Altadena home our great aunt Nanny built as a professional JPL photo developer and photographer. Many friends, family members, and folks of all walks of life have lived here over the decades (rumors say Tyra Banks lived here before making it big). But the past few years, the best have called it home...
Johnathan, worker, student, and father; Amanda, special education teacher, bird whisperer, and mother to start. Along with two-year-old Leo, Spider-Man impersonator, dog Jace, kitty Totoro, and birds Chip & Bean, all called this place home. Now it’s gone - and everything they own.
I have never seen people face such destruction so graciously, seeing the potential of new growth and new beginnings. This fundraiser was started so they can replace everyday necessities, restore household items, and relocate to a new home.
Let’s make that growth possible and start a new beginning.
Please donate today and share their story
FOR LEGITIMACY:
My name is Bridget Johnson. I’m a cousin Amanda’s who, with her family has been staying with us since being evacuated. I live in Ventura with my husband and 2 sons, the youngest being Leo’s “best friend”. The funds raised here will go directly to Amanda and Jonathon to subsidize daily living costs and potentially help with a purchase / down payment / deposit for bigger necessities such as a car, apartment or work computer.
