Two weeks ago, tragedy struck when a devastating house fire destroyed the St. Pete home of Alfonso Rodriguez, a proud U.S. Marine veteran, and his life partner, Destiny. In just moments, everything they owned was gone—clothes, furniture, keepsakes, and the comfort of a place to call home.

Alfonso served his country with honor and dedication. Destiny mentors young lives every day as a cheer coach and through her work-from-home career. They both pour so much into their community and others, and now they are facing one of the toughest battles of their lives: starting over from nothing. While we are incredibly grateful they both made it out safely with their dogs, the road to recovery is long and overwhelming.

This fundraiser has been created to help Alfonso and Destiny get back on their feet—covering immediate needs such as clothing, toiletries, food, and pet supplies, as well as long-term necessities like furniture, household items, and eventually a place to rebuild their lives.
