Many of you know my story. I'm a single mom and after 27 years of addiction, I now have 10 and a half years of uninterrupted sobriety. I use my past and everything I survived to try to pull others out of that darkness of addiction, incarceration, and homelessness.
After about 7 years of having dental insurance, I finally decided it was time to do something about my teeth. They hurt sometimes and just look hideous. I have multiple insurances, so I'm getting a great deal for the whole top of my mouth. I found a place where they're going to pull all of my top teeth and give me new teeth for around $780. This is a very good deal. They've allowed me to pay in three payments, which is about $256 per payment.
I've been trying to get the first session and payment done for about 2 months, but every time it comes time, something hits me financially and that $256 ends up gone. For instance, this week I ended up having to get a $300 brake job on my vehicle, which I use a lot for both of my jobs. I had to prioritize brakes for our safety. I make enough to get by but rarely enough to have extra. If anybody wants to contribute, my first appointment is tomorrow. Tomorrow they will do all the extractions, and it will be my first payment. Then, after a month of healing, I'll have to pay my second payment and get fitted for my teeth, and then another few weeks will be my final payment, and I'll pick up the teeth.
I wouldn't hold hard feelings if no one can help. I know everybody is struggling financially during this time. If you can, it would be so appreciated. Help me smile again.
