Hi everyone,

Over the past few days, I suffered a series of severe epileptic seizures that were so intense I had to be placed in a medically induced coma for 36 hours. These photos from the ICU show just how serious the situation was — I don’t even remember most of them being taken.

Because of this emergency, I’ve now been placed under a six-month driving restriction, which drastically affects my ability to work and get around. On top of that, I’m facing significant hospital bills while still needing to cover rent, groceries, and daily living expenses.

What Happened Medically:

During this crisis, I went into status epilepticus — a life-threatening condition where seizures continue without stopping. Doctors had to put me in a coma to protect my brain.

The seizures caused further complications:

A subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding on the brain).

A thoracic spine fracture, which will require ongoing physical therapy and impacts my work as a performer.

This means recovery is not just about resting — it’s about healing from neurological injury and regaining strength with therapy.

Monthly costs:

This totals about $2,393/month or $14,356 over six months, not including medical bills. With hospital costs, my goal is $20,500 to get through recovery and stabilize.

Anyone who knows me knows I’ve dedicated my life to performing arts, teaching, and outreach in my community. It’s humbling to be on this side asking for help, but right now I need support to keep a roof over my head, manage medical bills, and focus on recovery.
