My sister and I’s apartment recently was damaged in a really bad storm in Cleveland, Ohio. It was a very scary time for us because it was all so sudden. We had to vacate the premises because it was so bad. As of last week, we were able to go back to our apartment. The maintenance deemed it livable but it really wasn’t. Our ceiling paint is low hanging like a bubble, and water spills out of it, a lot of our possessions were damaged, the walls and floors damaged. And some of my artwork is damaged.

As of last night and today, it has gotten worse. When it rains it’s basically as if we’re outside. I’m a full-time artist and I’ve had to repair my artwork multiple times because of the amount of leakage into our apartment. As of today, my pieces are damaged again. Brittany and I cannot live like this, we are asking if people can help us fund a new apartment. Just enough money to cover security deposit, first month's rent, application fees, and food.
