My name is Keily, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Mohammed and his family.
Mohammed is enduring unimaginable hardship as he and his loved ones struggle to survive the ongoing violence and humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The continued attacks on the Palestinian people and their homeland have left families like Mohammed’s in constant danger, with little access to food, water, medical care, or shelter.
Despite the suffering, Mohammed’s spirit remains strong, and his story is one of resilience, love, and the hope for a better future. Here’s a little bit more on Mohammed and his family in his own words:
My name is Mohammed from Gaza. I am 25 years old and the eldest son of my parents. I have a brother and three sisters. I graduated from Palestine University, Faculty of Law, with honors. I was working in more than one job before October 7th, and I built a house for myself on top of my parents' house.
Now, after October 7th, we do not own the house; it was bombed during the Israeli war on Gaza. We were displaced to several places, including displacement schools, then to a tent in Rafah, and then a tent on the beach. Now, I have returned to my destroyed house and set up a tent next to it.
We do not have food in Gaza. It is not only me who is suffering, but all of Gaza is suffering. I am ashamed to ask for help from anyone, but we have been in this destruction and hunger for a year and six months. We are very tired and there is no work to do now. Can you help me and alleviate some of the hunger my family and I are experiencing. I appreciate all of your support.
