Hey y’all,

I’m Shyann Hines, and this Go Fund Me is for my momma! Her name is Amanda Hines, she just turned 40 and also just hit her 5th year of sobriety. My mother is the strongest person I know, since being sober she has worked every single day at the same job, she has made it a priority to fix her health problems that she has had for years. Although, with her working as much as she has even though it BARELY and most times doesn’t at all cover her living expenses she cannot get approved for a medical card.

My mom has stage 5 periodontal disease which is the most aggressive form. She has had this disease since she was 19 years old when they first discovered the signs. Although, she had me at that time and her health was no longer a priority for her with the cost of the expense to help slow it down. She is now to the point her gums have disintegrated and her teeth have started to fall out, with it now being unbearably painful. They cannot create dentures, nor do implants without a surgery, in which JUST the down payment is $2,000 not counting time off of work and the follow up surgeries. My mother is a hard working woman, who doesn’t ask anyone for anything so she does not feel entitled for anyone to help, but I beg if you can to help! This is something as you can see by pictures has affected her, her whole life. She has never smiled with her teeth since this disease. This is in no way a cosmetic issue at this point, but a medical emergency. Implants or dentures is not in the picture right now, just fixing her gums before it leads to complete loss of her bone under her gums and more abscesses. She has faced many serious health issues this year and this one is hopefully the last.
