Hi, my name is Regina, and I’m asking for your support as I navigate life with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) or Lou Gehrig’s disease, a progressive, incurable disease that attacks the nerves controlling movement, making everyday activities like walking, speaking, eating, and breathing more difficult over time.

This August, I’ll be traveling from Texas to the Mayo Clinic in Arizona for a second opinion and possible enrollment in specialized testing or clinical trials. The costs related to this trip, travel, lodging, co-pays, and out-of-pocket medical expenses are significant, and I’m not sure what insurance will cover.

In addition to the Mayo visit, I’m managing ongoing expenses for physical therapy, medical supplies, medications, and my wheelchair-accessible van, which is essential for me to get to appointments and stay connected to my community. Your donation will help me breathe a little easier by covering these urgent needs so I can continue focusing on my health and well-being.
