My name is Reginald Mathis, and the past year has been incredibly challenging for me. I am battling Stage 4 renal failure, which is a severe form of kidney disease. My job required me to resign rather than face termination.

The dialysis process has been horrific, and I have undergone five surgeries, including two peritoneal catheter placements, one central venous catheter placement, and two arteriovenous fistulas, along with multiple hospital stays. I am praying that the last arteriovenous fistula surgery I had three weeks ago will be successful. I currently undergo dialysis 3 times a week which is really draining. I'm on the kidney transplant list, I pray that I receive a donor soon.

In addition to this, I also suffer from arthritis. I come from a praying family, and I believe that if God brings you to it, he will bring you through it. I pride myself on my independence, so asking for help is not easy for me, but I am reaching out for contributions to help me overcome during this difficult time. The struggle has been real, but I know that this too shall pass.
