Update as of 11/11: Redd passed peacefully at the vet with me and loved one’s surrounding him early this morning.

Hello, my name is Elizabeth, and I am asking for help with paying for my dog’s, Redd, medical bills. I noticed he had a swollen leg with some discoloration and took him to the vet. He had to get X-Rays, blood work, and some other tests. I was then referred to an emergency veterinarian clinic for further testing. As of now, we are waiting to see the reason for the swelling in his leg, but there are a couple different things it could be; blood clot or cancer being the most probable. I am a senior in college and work a part time job on top of attending classes. Any donations are greatly appreciated as medial bills have already reached almost $2,000 and we are unsure of what further treatment he may need.

update as of 8:51pm: The vet was able to rule out cancer for now as the cause, but we still do not know what has caused it. We were given antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, and pain meds to get him started on recovery. We will continue to monitor the bruising to make sure it does not spread further.
