My name is Brooklyn Brooks Coke and my husband and his family are being affected by Hurricane Melissa. I am reaching out with a personal and urgent request. As many of you know, my husband and his family lives in St. Mary Parish, Jamaica, and they, along with their entire community, have been severely impacted by Hurricane Melissa.

The devastation is immense, and while we appreciate that government relief funds are often announced, the reality is that these resources frequently do not reach the citizens who need them most to rebuild their homes and lives.

We are launching a grassroots effort to provide direct aid to the people of St. Mary. Every dollar raised will go immediately toward essential needs like materials for rebuilding shelter, clean water, and food supplies.
