My name is Rihana Allen, and I am a college student studying overseas. I started this GoFundMe to help my family back home in Jamaica, as well as another family, who lost their homes during Storm Melissa.

It’s been really hard being so far away and knowing that the people I love are struggling to rebuild after losing everything. The storm destroyed their homes and most of what they owned, but I’m thankful every day that no lives were lost — that alone is a blessing.

I’m trying to raise at least $4,000 USD, which will be split between the two families to help them get back on their feet — rebuilding their homes, buying food, and replacing basic necessities.
