Help Rebuild Linapacan: Support Families Recovering After Typhoon Tino

On November 5, Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi) ripped through Northern Palawan - it's last stop in the Philippines after more high-profile landfalls in Cebu and the Visayas. The remote Linapacan Group of Islands northeast of El Nido took a direct hit.

Residents report shocking devastation, with entire villages wiped out and fishing boats reduced to kindling, leaving families without their only source of livelihood. Since the typhoon, very little relief has reached these islands, which can only be reached by boat. Across the archipelago, thousands of families are without shelter, clean water, or basic supplies.

We (Greg and Windi of Bearcat Travel in El Nido) are on the ground in Palawan raising funds to mobilize Bearcat Travel's 50-ton motor yacht, M/Y Isla, to deliver urgently needed construction materials to these communities. M/Y Isla is no stranger to the Linapacan Group, as these idyllic islands are a frequent stop on the boat expeditions we organize.

This fund aims to support 533 families as they begin rebuilding. Each family needs basic materials to construct emergency shelter:
