Cebu, Philippines , My Homeland, is in need of help. From Earthquake now a Typhoon
On behalf of the Cebuanos, I am reaching out with a heavy heart after the recent Typhoon Tino that struck the Cebu region of the Philippines. I have a deep connection to this area, as I used to live there and still have my family and friends. The typhoon brought unprecedented winds and massive flooding, leaving our community in ruins. Families have lost their homes, belongings, and livelihoods in an instant. The need for help is immediate and critical. The land is covered in mud and debris, and another typhoon is fast approaching, according to the news. The high risk of infection from unsanitary water is also a major concern. People there are doing everything they can, but they need help to provide the essentials and begin the long process of rebuilding their lives. Your every Peso or Dollar counts to help them.
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, I lift up the people of the Philippines who are facing the fury of Typhoon Tino and the Tsunami threat.
Lord, You are the God of the wind and the waves. You are the One who commands the storms to cease. I pray for calm in the skies and in the seas.
Protect Your people, O Lord. Keep them safe from harm, from injury, and from loss. Provide for their needs, shelter them from the storm, and bring them through this trial with hope and peace.
Strengthen the rescue workers, the emergency responders, and all those who are working tirelessly to help those in need. Give them wisdom, courage, and endurance.
Lord, You are the Rock that stands firm, the Refuge that provides shelter. Be with the people of the Philippines in this hour of need. Comfort them with Your presence, and reassure them of Your love.
In Jesus' mighty name, I pray. Amen.
