Donate to Rebuild a Life-Changing Smile

May of 2017, after years of saving and dental insurance finally covered my new smile, I felt SO GOOD! I felt beautiful.
In less than two months that feeling was short lived. A corporate paint van hit me from behind at a red light and totaled not only my car, but new, hard earned smile.

I walked away with a small settlement that was utilized to start repairing the dental damage created by the accident. After over 5 years of going back and forth with the dental team who was supposed to be helping me by repairing my teeth and giving me the freedom to once again be able to speak clearly and eat with ease, they told me they couldn't help anymore because I couldn't afford to pay what they were asking and they kept changing the treatment plan. They wanted me to pay over $40,000 out of pocket. It was impossible.

I pushed off getting the work done because I didn't have the money and things just kept getting harder. My husband and I opened a business in the hopes of becoming more financially stable while doing what we loved. Shortly after, Covid hit. We had to close the business and file for bankruptcy, all while taking in my mother and beginning to care for her.
As time has gone on, my teeth have gotten worse.
For the better part of two years I have been spitting on people when I speak to them. When I sneeze, I bite my lip. My mouth looks lopsided. My stutter has come back tenfold because of how uneven my teeth are. I am constantly biting my lower lip or the inside of my cheek. My breathing is uneven. I rarely kiss my husband out of fear that I will bite him. My mouth is infected and I can no longer eat real food. I can't continue to live like this.

If you know me, you know that I am not one to ask for anything. I am feircely independent and have always been an incredibly hardworker. Asking for help from others, especially monetary help, is not in my character. But I am at a place where I am desperate to get this dental work done.

I have found a dentist who has created a 3 procedure treatment plan. Over the last 6 months, I was able to raise enough to cover the first procedure with the understanding that insurace would cover $3000 of it. After that procedure was completed, I learned that insurance wasn't even going to pay $1000. In order to get the next two procedures completed, I still need $17,000. I am hoping that the kindness and generosity of others will help me to raise enough so that I can finally feel normal again. Please consider helping me to reach my goal. Please share this with others who may be inclined to help. Any little bit or just spreading the word is so helpful.

A copy of my treatment plan is available for anyone who might be interested in reviewing it. Thank you for thinking of me!
