Hello, my name is Rebecca. I am a trans woman from Upstate NY, in my 40s, and trying to raise funds to help supplement the costs for some of the expenses in my journey to obtain my true self.  The next phase of this journey is the necessary bottom surgery and hair removal. (Hair removal is a precursor to bottom surgery.) The next immediate step is the consultation itself, and consists of three nights near the hospital. After approval which must come from the surgeon, it goes on to insurance for their approval. As we all know, insurance is likely to approve partial needs to complete my journey, if anything at all. Then if/when approved, the surgery will have a recovery period that is a mandatory 14- 30 days near the hospital in a hotel, as I do not live near the hospital where the surgery can be performed, this can be quite costly. I'm just hoping to raise some money to take the edge off a bit from what has been a stressful and long process. I am also the primary income for my family, which makes planning and financial calculations all the more important. This will allow me to move forward when the time comes with more confidence.  With some help from you, I will be able to get this needed surgery AND peace of mind that I will be able to keep my family stable during this time. Your donations will be used for hair removal and future surgery related expenses such as travel and hotels and costs not covered by insurance.
