Asking for help is never easy, especially publicly, it's something our family has never done before. But today, we are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits.

My name is Alyza Serania, and I’m the daughter of Raquel Serania, a dedicated nurse, a loving mother, and the heart of our family. For over 20 years, my mom served patients both in the Philippines and here in the U.S. Nursing wasn’t just a job for her.. it was her calling. She treated every patient with compassion, dignity, and kindness. Even now, she remembers many of them by name.

In 2016, my mom was forced to retire after suffering a stroke. It was a major life change, but she faced it with the strength and grace she’s always shown.

Unfortunately, our family was dealt another devastating blow: last year, she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that has spread throughout her body.

This diagnosis has brought immense physical and emotional challenges. She is currently undergoing aggressive chemotherapy treatments with no clear end in sight to slow the progression of the disease. The side effects have been difficult: painful rashes, fatigue, and more. And yet, my mom continues to fight every single day with unwavering courage.

We are asking, with all humility, for your support to help cover the mounting costs of her treatment. While she spent her life caring for others, she now needs care and kindness in return. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward her medical expenses and ongoing chemo treatments.
