Hi, I am Suzanne. We have always had animals and have been lucky with health issues.
Now, unexpectedly, Ranger has had to have emergency surgery. Things here are pretty rough with my surgeries and now Ranger. They ruled out the seizure but found fluid in his abdominal cavity and a possible problem with his spleen. That then required emergency surgery to evaluate what was really going on because the X-ray and ultrasound were not enough. They found that his spleen had wrapped 180 degrees around itself, the pancreatic horn, and a small part of his stomach. They removed his spleen and the pancreatic horn. We will know more after they round this morning. They said he was doing well after I called last night and this morning. Hopefully, they can transfer him back to the Mission Viejo ER today. They had to transfer him to Anaheim Hills for surgery. Another story …
