Hi! I’m Rafael, a college freshman studying music with a long-term goal of earning a doctorate in Music Education. I’m raising funds to march my rookie season of WGI Winter Percussion with CSU Fresno's (Fresno State) Red Wave Indoor Percussion—a rare opportunity this early in my journey that will challenge me musically, physically, and mentally.

Winter percussion changed my life in high school. I fell in love with the energy of the ensemble, the precision, and the storytelling on the floor. Now, I’m chasing the dream of performing with a top group, learning from elite educators, and pushing my craft to the highest level. This experience will strengthen my technique, stamina, and leadership, while building friendships and professional connections that will shape my career as a music educator.

The costs for tuition, travel, and equipment, add up quickly, and I can’t do it alone. Your support—of any amount—will directly help me surpass, rehearse, and perform this season. Thank you for believing in my goals and helping me take this next step. If you can’t donate, a share means the world!

What the money will be going towards:

$1,000 - Participation fee which covers staff, facilities, equipment, and Uniforms

$1,850- Estimated travel costs to Dayton Ohio (Where WGI Preliminaries , Finals, and Championships are held)

$100 - Fresno State students are required to attend this class for Red Wave

$80 - Performance shoes

Any extra money will go towards gas, food, and tuition for both college and Red Wave
