Hello My Name is Dastiny DiMarco and I am creating this Gofundme for my loving mother Rachel Rivas.

Our mom is the most laughable, loving, giving human in the world. She’s the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back to a stranger without a second thought. She has spent her life helping others, lifting spirits, and showing up for people when they needed her most.

Back in May, she went to the hospital for what was supposed to be a simple, quick procedure. The next day, everything changed — she was admitted for two weeks due to complications. It was scary, but we thought we had gotten through the worst of it.

But today, we got the call no family wants. She was rushed back to the hospital with blood clots in her lungs. Now, she has lost the ability to walk. She is in constant pain, and we don’t know how long this fight will last. My sister, my husband, and I feel helpless watching her go through this.

Our mom has done so much for so many people, and now it’s our turn to fight for her. We are raising funds to cover her medical bills, rehabilitation, and anything she needs to have the best chance at recovery and to hopefully walk again.
