Hi, my name is David Verdugo and I’m raising funds for my sister, Rachael Verdugo. She was recently diagnosed with Stage III lung cancer—a 6-centimeter mass that has deeply impacted her ability to work and care for herself. Rachael is 53 years old and lives in Oklahoma with her son, Matthew, who is diagnosed with autism. She is not only his mother but also his full-time caregiver.

This diagnosis has been devastating for Rachael and all of us who love her. She is facing a tough road ahead with treatment, doctor visits, and recovery. And through all of this, she still has to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table.

Rachael has faced many challenges in life. She grew up in a difficult home and had to learn to take care of herself from a young age. Despite everything she’s been through, she’s always put others before herself. But she’s a fighter. Her faith in God is strong, and her love for her family runs deep. She has always had a caring heart, and now she needs that love and care poured back into her.

Rachael and Matthew live on a limited income, and with the added costs of cancer care and the inability to work, they’re at serious risk of falling behind on rent, groceries, and basic needs.
