Quinn's surgery and hospitalization efforts
Donation protected
Last Thursday, our beloved dog Quinn ended up in the ER for a medical emergency. After multiple tests and X-rays, it was found that Quinn had what’s called a lung torsion meaning his lung lobe had twisted. He underwent emergency surgery to have the affected lobe removed and was given a positive prognosis. Post surgery, despite all other vitals showing perfect, Quinn’s chest cavity continued to fill with fluid. Thinking he needs more time for his body to heal, we brought him back to the hospital to have the fluid drained during a routine procedure. Unexpectedly, his lung was torn during this procedure leaving him with air building up in his chest and multiple other complications. He underwent a second surgery where doctors needed to repair the tear in his lung, in hopes that this would stop the air buildup, giving him another fighting chance at recovery.
As you could expect, after multiple procedures, treatments, multiple days of hospitalization and two surgeries, this has already taken a tremendous financial and emotional toll on our family. Quinn is a healthy, full of life, 3 year old Golden Retriever with so much more life to live. He has touched so many hearts throughout his short years and brought so much joy to our family. We would hate if we could not provide him with all that is needed to save his life. Anything raised will help extend Quinn's ICU stay and be put towards the total cost of all vet bills.
We greatly appreciate any generous donations along with your love and support during this difficult time.
