Donate to Provide Shelter and Care for Goats

Hey there friends and family,

Thank you for taking the time to check in with me here. Since moving to Ecuador animals in need have crossed our path and we have done what we can to take care of them. Whether it was a kitten, a street dog, or, as of now, goats!

Recently, some friends of ours had to jet back to America before being able to sell their whole herd of 30 goats. We took on some of those goats here, and boy, has it been busy ever since. Busy but enjoyable.

After they departed we checked back with their land and although the remaining goats do have care we found a buck (male goat) unwell. We took him to the vets and brought him home to care for him. Unfortunately all we could do was make his last days more comfortable.

The long story short is: we want to be able to alleviate some more of our friends burden by taking on more of their herd. But currently we lack the resources to make this happen. Goats are not just a lot of work but apparently, they are also a bit expensive, who knew! We need to build a proper shelter where they can hide from the ocean front wind which they face. We need to buy blankets, towels, tools, such as hoof trimmers, fencing, feed, medicines, vet bills, and more. If we could we would take on more goats but we are just not set up correctly even for the ones we have. Currently we have 5: A male, two milking mamas, and two babies, or I mean, kids!

If you’d be willing to donate to our goat cause we would appreciate it ever so much. It would help us build better shelter for the goats we have, provide a home to more goats, and the opportunity to produce our own milk.

1. Goat House – $2300

2. Barbed Wire Fencing for first pen – $700

3. Tools, medicines, feed, etc - $400

4. Barbed wire fencing for second pen – $800

5. Barbed wire fencing for third pen – $800
