My name is Kelly, and I’m a mother of two doing everything I can to protect my children — emotionally, physically, and legally.

I have an active Domestic Violence Restraining Order (DVRO) in place to protect myself and currently requesting to add my children, but despite this, violations continue and I am currently waiting for court. I’m currently fighting for safe custody arrangements and enforcement of court orders, and I have a hearing scheduled for July 16, 2025, in Sacramento Superior Court. I urgently need an attorney to help me stand up for my children and myself, but after exhausting every legal aid option in Nevada and California, I’m now asking for help.

For the past year and a half, I’ve been navigating this legal battle on my own — submitting police reports, documenting violations, and reporting concerns of child abuse and neglect. I’ve contacted over a dozen agencies, including legal aid offices, domestic violence support services, and state and federal advocacy programs. Everyone agrees my case is urgent — but I still don’t have an attorney.

• Retain a qualified family law attorney before my July court date

• Protect my children through proper legal channels, the right way

• Stop ongoing financial abuse and credit damage

• Advocate for safe, stable custody and long-term protection

I never thought I’d have to ask for public help to protect my own children. But I’m doing everything in my power to break the cycle and keep them safe — even if it means asking for support from people I’ve never met.
