Donate to Prevent Irreversible Spinal Damage
I've had back pain for a while but didn't amount it to anything. I told myself that I have poor posture and I need to work on that and it'll get better. I've been to a chiropractor and they didn't find anything, adjusted me and I was on my way but the situation never resolved itself. I decided to ask my co-worker for their chiropractor and it turned things around for me, both in good and bad ways. I discovered that my spine is curved and I've had scoliosis probably my whole life which is odd given all the silly exams I had growing up at the nurse's office and the doctor's office where they 'test for it'. The other situation which is far more alarming according to the chiropractor is that I lost the curvature of my neck and it's been like that for a couple decades based on how the degeneration looks and I am getting pretty close to ending up with bone on bone which means it cannot be fixed once that happens. He said that that is pulling on my spinal cord pretty bad which is making my lumbar hurt 2x as much and fixing this would make a dramatic difference.
I have CareCredit but it's been used to capacity in the last years between my dog's major surgery, my root canal and a couple of emergency visits for the same dog. I don't have the financial capacity to address this anytime soon and I don't want to wait if I can do anything to avoid it. If I pay the entire amount upfront, I can save some money otherwise any other options (payment plan) is $2,500. I won't be able to start making payments until June at best or July. I hate asking for help, I hate being in a situation where something health related has popped up but I have to take care of my body and this is one of those things that I cannot blow off.
