Donate to Prevent Forced Detransition

Hello! I’m a 25-year-old server, cleaner, performer, and photographer for live events in Atlanta. I’m trans-masc, which my family rejects and has chosen not to support my transition. Recently, I’ve been trying to raise funds for my car's registration and tag fees, and in the process, I had my car pulled over and impounded.

Luckily, my parents were able to cover the cost of getting my car back (around $1,400), but with the promise that they would take away the car from me until I pay them back. I have my car for now, but once it is gone, it will be impossible to move forward in the ways necessary to pay them back. My family has been trying to convince me to move back to Huntsville, Alabama, in order to “get my life back on track.” This would include them restricting my HRT and forcing me to live with them as I unwillingly detransition. This would take me away from the support system and chosen family I’ve made for myself for the past 8 years in Atlanta. This has been their plan for me for the past few months, and I am now backed into a corner financially.

The only way I could be able to keep my car and be able to avoid this is to pay them back, which isn’t possible in the time necessary with my current job.

I am currently job searching since I have my car at the moment. 100% of the funds would be going to my parents. It would save my life if I could have the funds to pay them back!
