Hello, my name is Lawrence, and I am setting this account up for my son, Isaiah S. Castana, 27, as he was recently diagnosed with advanced stage keratoconus, which if not treated immediately, will indeed cause him to lose his sight forever. Isaiah is a devoted husband and father of three, currently works as a CNA at Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, WA, while also attending the nursing program at SCC. Although his insurance through the hospital does pay for the surgery, it does not cover the pre-surgery medication/medical procedure that is 100% necessary, as the surgery cannot take place without it. The medication/medical procedure costs $1,400 per eye, accumulating to $2,800 total. This surgery will also require 10 days of rest in which he will be unable to work. That is why we are also asking for an additional $1,200, so they do not fall behind in bills and living necessities, for a grand total of $4,000.00. If you can donate even the smallest amount, it would be truly appreciated.
