On Thursday night our sweet German Shepherd, Piper, started to show signs of a tummy ache. Vomiting, loss of appetite, and we monitored this for a few days. Her energy level remained relatively the same, but since she did not improve, we took her to the emergency vet Sunday morning.

To our absolute surprise, Piper has a condition where her intestines actually twisted and began to go into her colon. This condition is a complete fluke but it is pretty common for her breed. The only answer is surgery and we had to act fast.

At 3AM on Monday we received a call that surgery went well and she’s in recovery! ❤️

She still needs to stay in the hospital for a couple days and recover. We have also racked up a very overwhelming bill that we desperately need help covering.
