As many of you know, my brother Perri was outside of his broken down car pushing it off the road on Christmas Eve when he was hit by a truck and tragically lost part of his leg. To make matters worse, it was a hit and run meaning my brother will be financially responsible for most of the hospital bills, on top of a prosthetic in the future and everything in between. We are lucky to have a family that can help to support him, but the financial burden is astronomical on top of the emotional devastation it has caused all of us.
