Help Payton Heal After a Life-Changing Accident
Hello, my name is Teressa, and I’m reaching out as the aunt of Payton Sales, my 19-year-old nephew, and the sister of his father and sister-in-law to Cary, his mother. On Friday, May 30th, Payton was involved in a devastating UTV accident that left him with serious injuries and required him to be life-flighted to the hospital. He is currently facing a long road to recovery, including hospital stays and extensive rehabilitation.
This accident has turned his world—and ours—completely upside down. Payton is a kind, strong young man with his whole life ahead of him. Right now, he needs all the support we can give to help him heal physically, emotionally, and financially.
We’re setting up this fundraiser to help cover:
• Emergency medical care and life flight costs
• Hospital expenses
• Long-term rehabilitation
• Any equipment or resources needed for his recovery
• Travel and support costs for his immediate family during this difficult time
Every donation, no matter the size, helps lighten the load. If you can’t give financially, please consider sharing this page with others. And most of all, keep Payton in your thoughts and prayers as he continues to fight and heal.
With love and gratitude,
Aunt Teressa
Update on Payton – Please Keep the Prayers Coming - June 3rd
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to give you all an update on Payton. I know some of you were hoping to come see him today, and we appreciate that love more than you know. But for today, we’re asking for no visitors. Even his Mama is stepping out of the room, but of course she’s not far away.
The medical team is going to flip him onto his stomach to help break up the fluid in his lungs. With the pneumonia and infection, his lungs are only functioning at about 20% on their own—the other 80% is being supported by the ventilator. So right now, his body just needs to rest, and the doctors need space to do what they need to do.
They’ve increased his sedation and added an anti-anxiety medication because he had a rough night and even threw up, which raised some concerns. He will not be responsive today while they keep him sedated and facedown.
Please know that his mama is close by, and he is surrounded by love—even if not inside the room at this moment.
We need all the prayers we can get right now. Please keep lifting him up, and thank you for your continued support and kindness. Every message, donation, and prayer means the world to our family.
With love,
Aunt Teressa
