My name is Martine Prudhomme, and today, I came to you not just as a Sister, but as a woman with a broken heart, asking for a chance at healing for my brother Patrick Prudhomme. My rock, a devoted Father, the kind of man who always put others before himself.
For years, my brother has lived with excruciating pain in his left leg, especially his knee. this hasn’t been just discomfort but a constant, relentless ache that has stolen his freedom, his energy and his joy. Every step he takes comes with a reminder of the pain he has endured for far too long.
After countless appointments, treatments, and sleepless nights, the Doctor has given us a glimmer of hope : “Surgery”. This will be his best chance to finally be free from the pain that has controlled his life for over a decade.
On Wednesday August 2025, my brother underwent a major surgery. An Arthroplasty on his left knee. We knew it would be a serious procedure, but nothing could have prepared us for what happened. What was supposed to be a complex but manageable surgery turned into over five (5) of the longest, most terrifying hours of my life. The surgeon discovered unexpected complications. Things that have to be removed and repaired before they can even begin the planned work. Every minute felt like an eternity, not knowing what was happening behind those doors, just praying he would come out safe.
This surgery was his chance at a pain-free life, but the journey isn’t over. The extended surgery means a longer recovery, more medical care, and months of physical therapy before he can even think about walking normally again.
The medical bills, hospitals stay, and rehab costs are already overwhelming. That is why I am reaching out. We need help, We need Your help. Every donation, no matter the size, as we are not setting a limit, will go directly towards his recovery: covering Therapy, equipment, and the essentials he will need while he focuses on healing.
he has been through so much, and those hours in surgery are proof of his strengths and will to fight. Now I want to make sure he has the support to finish this fight and get his life back.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your donations, your prayers, and your compassion. You are not just helping my brother heal, but giving him hope for a future without pain.
