Meet Pastor Mark Walker. He is my beloved Dad and the current pastor of Open Door Baptist Church in Greenwood New York. He is battling with Cerosis (liver failure) and has reached the stage where Doctor visits have turned into frequent hospital stays and ICU admissions. He is fighting for his life as he waits for a liver transplant. As he fights, his family fights with him, especially my mom (his wife) who has been tirelessly caring and advocating for him. More hospital stays and Cleveland Clinic visits means less time for work and less income for Pastor Mark and his family. My mom and dad both serve the community in such an impactful way. They serve physically, mentally, and spiritually. My dad does so through his church and my mom does in her work as a Nurse Practitioner. They go above and beyond for people everyday, so it’s time that someone did the same for them! We can help them by raising money to help ease the financial burdens that come with fighting for one’s life. Your financial contributions will help pay the bills and help pay for travel costs to Cleveland Clinic and back.
