Paris Thalheimer is a single lady, who at 70 years old lives in an aprtment attached to her daughter's house. She has been rescuing small dogs and recently, one of her Chihuahuas had an emergency while giving birth. (All her dogs are spayed/neutered, but this one came from the shelter).

After giving birth to four puppies, the fifth was stuck. So Paris rushed her to the vet, where they suggested euthanizing the mom and puppy. That was unthinkable to Paris so they quoted her $6,000. The saved the mom and puppy but now Paris, who lives on social security, is saddled with over $5,000 in debt.
