This is going to be a long post, but I hope it inspires you as much as it has inspired me. And I hope I can make it make sense lol.

So, on June 16th, during a weekday, a coworker and I had been sending messages to our friend/coworker Pam Kelley throughout the day, but we weren't getting any responses back from her, which was very unusual and concerning. My last message, which I myself sent to her, was asking if she was alright, and still, I got nothing from her. I even called UHC to see if she had been admitted, and I was getting worried. I got home from work and got a message from another coworker asking if she was going to be okay. I freaked out, and she gave me the information they knew at that time. So I immediately messaged her husband, asking him to call me when he was able to. Before heading to bed that night, he called me to let me know that she had a blocked artery in her neck, along with a stroke. It was very hard holding back my emotions while talking to him, because the sound in his voice was upsetting to me. So I didn't want to add to it.

I went to visit her that following Saturday, and it was amazing to see her progress. She was resting, and I didn't want to bother her, let alone knowing what to say or talk about. The nurse came in and woke her up, telling her to open her eyes and that she had a visitor. I stood up so that she could see me. She asked her if she knew who I was. She said yes, it's Peggy. And the nurse asked if I was a coworker. She said yes, and my friend♥️ Each day after that, other coworkers, along with her husband, kept me updated on her progression. Each day, it was something new.

Well, today I was on break, and my phone rang, and it was from her phone. In my mind, I was thinking it was her husband calling me. I answered, and it was her. She asked me what I was doing. And, man, the tears started and didn't stop. At one point, I had to hand my phone to another coworker, because I didn't want her to hear me crying. I got myself under control and asked if she wanted to say hi to the workers. I walked up to them, and they all said hello and were glad to hear she was doing well. She informed me that she was on vacation this week and would be back to work next week She is definitely a trooper. And asked me if I was coming back to see her. And yes, I am going to visit her Saturday, but not at the hospital. She got moved to get physical therapy.

I wanted to save this for last. While visiting her Saturday, I had taken a few pictures of her and me, just to have for myself. The one picture taken with Snapchat, of course, lol stood out. I sent that particular picture to her husband to ask if he or she would mind if I shared it on FB. He said absolutely; the picture of her is pretty faded. But the caption says it all. I myself have trouble saying prayers, because I never know what to say. But God understood every word, whether it made sense to me or not. The power of prayers has brought this lady to where she is now. Thanks to each and every one of you for the prayers; they will not go unnoticed. Pam Kelley, we love you and miss you. Prayers for her husband as well. No donation is too small and everything is appreciated.
