Ever since I have arrived to Arizona anything and everything that could go wrong has went wrong. I had money with me, I got a job right away cuz I actually work for what I have. They where offering $25 hour 10hrs a day 7 days a week for 3 weeks gathering signatures to up minimum wage for tip workers here in Arizona only they really turned out to be pardon my French a bunch of jackasses they over demanded on how many signatures you were to get so they started cutting people's hours they let me go because when I told them I'm asking everyone I come in contact with and everybody says no all my signatures were legit so I said you're just flat out calling me a liar so she let me go I didn't even get a full week of work and I started clocking out early because they made me feel so bad because people were just saying no but I was doing my job so I didn't even get paid for all the hours I should have and I didn't get the 3 weeks I didn't even get a week on my first day there my car broke down because of the front brake system driving all the way from Michigan to Arizona. When payday came oh well then they wanted to say 20% of the people were lying and faked signatures so now they have to do a bunch of work and well you just can't get paid. I was sleeping right across the street from the building so I went right up there they knew mine were all legit because I barely could get any I was in Phoenix and they told me to get paid I'd have to go to Mesa so I said okay I will walk there because they were trying to tell me to hold off on getting paid so they called another person that just came in to get their money to drive me all the way to get my check luckily the check cash. The shop my car was at they wanted $1,200 there was no way I could do that the first guy I called which was trying to help me get my car back on the road I called him back and asked him honestly how much should it cost he said he would do it if I paid for the parts and just paid him $250. Well I also needed another job to have money keep on coming in so even though that guy went and picked up my car I tried to go use the money I made to go rent on Uber rental so I could start earning money. The Uber app gave me a voucher to get there. I got there they tell me even though you book it you can't get one same day well then why did you have me come up here. They said if you want you can sit around until 3:00 3:30 and see if we have a car available I sat there and waited cuz I wanted a job they had a car available they said you can pay by debit or credit card I just put my whole check on a debit card only they want to say that their machine is down and the swipe doesn't work that it has to be tap or a chip then he tells me oh well there's a bank down the road that gives you same day debit card go there and come back. So I walk 8 hours because the voucher that Uber gives you well you can't use that to get back anywhere if you don't get a vehicle from them so you're stranded and the app wouldn't even accept the debit card I had. So I walked not 8 hours 9 hours and 116 to 120° heat my feet blistered all up I could barely move by time I got back. I go walk the next day downtown Phoenix to the bank after I pulled all the money off my debit card at the check cashing place I get to the bank right before they close tell them I want to open account they have me give him a bunch of information and well what do they do they run a credit check no unfortunately because I was helping somebody because I was a good person they screwed up my credit it's my own fault. I got denied on opening a free checking account to get a debit card yet Uber says they don't run credit checks but this is the bank that they're telling me to go to. I have time I have cash app also. I find out from a person that does Uber that they got their rental through their chime account you couldn't just tell me that people while I was there I could have transferred my money so I gave up on the Uber and I contacted the guy I got to Mesa I bought the parts he fixed my front brakes even though my back brakes needed to be fixed it was my front brakes that locked up I paid them and I picked up my car. I was getting severely ill at that time I didn't know it was going on with me I had been out in this heat for a month I was working everyday in this heat trying to gather signatures. I didn't have my car I had to be out in the heat 24/7 and by time I got my car and I got back to where I could park my car for free and I could sleep at night on the ground because it was way too hot to be in my car and all the walking I had to do because I had no gas and I didn't know that I still had type 2 diabetes cuz my doctor told me I could stop taking my medication I thought I was cured I didn't know you couldn't be cured of that my blood sugar was going from 400 and something all the way down to 60 something all the while I have kidney disease now also and this heat depleted all my electrolytes I was on the verge of dying they had to immediately admit me to the ICU I was in there for a week I was also off of all my medications and I asked them to transfer me to a facility that could help me. The great St Joseph hospital in Phoenix sends me to some CBI which is straight up drug addicts and the very sick mentally ill in a big square box with a bunch of chairs that you sit on they couldn't help me out with any of my medication and they tried getting me into some transitional housing and I talked to the pastor and he said well I wouldn't hold no man back that doesn't need to be held down cuz you don't sound like the typical guy that needs to help. So when I got there he said he was going to help me out with a bunch of stuff no I was locked in that house for 30 days I couldn't leave for 30 days he told me I could get work earn money and save money there no it was going to work for them and $140-150° food bank slaving away 8 hours a day and my diabetes was running rampant with no medication cuz the hospital didn't send me home with any and other medications were also giving me side effects and I still hadn't fully recovered from everything else and they put me to work in 140 to 50° heat and you don't earn money they take that they did a background check on me so that they could send me on other jobs getting paid even more money even though they're getting paid through the state and federal government to house me but yet I wouldn't receive any of that money either. Along my car was at St Joseph hospital and the pastor knew that and he told CVI have him come here and I will map it out for him and figure out how to go and get it so he can bring it back no I had to tell them I'm leaving I told the hospital I would be there by this day I can't afford to have my car towed away. So all that was for nothing didn't get help from any of them I got a bus ticket from one of the other guys at the house so I could get back to my car and from doing all that work and that heat have to be back out on the streets and the heat by time I got back to my car I had to go check myself back into the hospital. My iPhone broke after I got out of the hospital I could not apply to any jobs no jobs could call me I couldn't figure out directions I couldn't do nothing the state insurance that I went to try to get they said they would call me they never did they told the hospital they lied to the hospital saying that they called me a Monday when they were supposed to call me on Friday but my phone is already broke by that time and I've been stuck walking around the staring at a street because I couldn't get a cell phone because without internet access you can't do anything you can't find to go anywhere and without a phone nobody can contact you to give you an offer to tell you to come in for an interview. Yet I still tried I went on an interview at Circle K the manager knew me because I came there every day I was sent down a second interview and offered the job I couldn't sign back into the account so I could update my information so he stopped the whole process. Like what yet he was allowing someone to live behind there in their cage using all their stuff inside and he got transferred so you can see why the job went South he was allowing someone to live at a business. But he says he's been burned before so he just dropped everything and didn't give a crap about me being hired in even though I was offered the job. So I didn't just give up even though I couldn't apply to places online I still worked walked and did everything I could. That went on for like a month and a half and then finally some younger person had me do basically nothing for work two days in a row and I was able to go by a new cell phone at MetroPCS because boost even though I'm a customer would only have a phone for the price of $175 nothing cheaper Metro I was able to get one for $130 I immediately started applying for jobs within 3 hours I was being texted by the next morning I had my first interview set up that was Tuesday morning by Wednesday afternoon and I had six interviews already set up and I had wanted to go to that day but I had no gas money so I had to forgo it I would have been on my way to it but instead I was charging my phone outside of a Circle K gas station cuz here in Arizona there are no plugs anywhere they make it that way because there are so many druggy bums they don't want anyone doing anything around anywhere which I get but for the people like me that are not on drugs that are kind of simply survive and try to get back on their feet you can't they make it so you can. Some low life came up and stole my cell phone and the power bank I was charging on both plugs so again I was back to nothing a guy who kindly jumped my car a week and a half before passed me where I was parked my car at and asked me how I was doing and I told him and he said he would get me a phone that night immediately he said that the next morning I had a phone there and I was able to put my SIM card in from my broken iPhone and I had a phone again started applying two days later on a Saturday he brought me a cell phone case some deodorant some water and a bunch of printouts of places to apply to and then he said what do you think about me putting you up in a hotel for a week so you have a home base to charge your phone to apply to jobs to shower to get yourself right I told him I can't have you do that but I also cannot in my position not accept that and he did that well my phone being back on and my number from Michigan being active again A friend of mine that is out here that again I supported for a whole year contacted me telling me her meth head boyfriend was going crazy beating her up stealing from her and needed me to come and save her and I did that and I brought her back to my room I went on an interview that day I came back she has to use my car to go to CVS which was right across the street and then called me and said I want to go get all my stuff and I haven't seen or heard from her since so now I'm out of a car and I contacted the police this morning and told them I am worried for her safety I know where she stays with her boyfriend and that she's also had my car when I would like that back Chandler police went to the complex drove around didn't see my car so called me and told me that but I asked did you go in and ask to see if that they're there well it's kind of hard to get in contact with anyone here I said well I'm very concerned he is a meth head he's a ward of the state because of his mental health issues I don't know what could have happened to her all right well let me go and try to get contact from them he calls me back and says he went in he found out that yes that man is a resident but they told him he would have to come back with a warrant to get the room number. And then he told me that oh I'm just using him to try and get my car because I gave her permission to go get her stuff so oh well four days later and I don't have my car that is my fault and I'm in the wrong. I had to leave that hotel without my car my cell phone is off I can only utilize Wi-Fi I really don't know what I'm going to do anymore I have fought so hard I don't know if I can fight anymore if there is anyone who is kind enough that wants to help somebody who's been trying and trying and trying and only having the worst horrible luck then please help me because I am one person that is actually trying and just cannot get a break I love life but I want a life I want to build a life so I can bring my son out here I'm just at a loss at what to do anymore.
My battery to my car is shot cuz of my so called who stole my car, it's overheating now. My car has no insurance if I can get it to even start, it is about to get cold, already is at night. I need away to get to work. I need to try and get my car working, I need food, away to work by bus or uber, I need clothes for work, pay my cellphone bill, to get a roof over my head of I can but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. I have so many more needs but to many to list or have on my mind. Here in Arizona, in Midtown Phoenix, I am one of the only people living on the streets not drinking alcohol or using drugs and actually trying to build a life from nothing. Cuz I have always wanted a life. I was working full time up till the day I drove out here to Arizona I have just had unimaginable hardships ever since I have arrived here and been used and taken advantage by someone I would have given my own life up for just to protect her. I wanted to build a life out here so I could have my son come out here and get back to having my son in my life. I'm not a bad guy, I made a bad decision and to good of a guy and have been used for that. If I could pay my way back to Michigan and a family member or childhood friend would give me a chance I would love to just get back home and with true family and friends.
Thank you
