We're off on an exciting new adventure and we'd love and appreciate as many of you to be a part of it as possible!
Code 3 Traffic Incident Management Solutions, LLC. has been created to provide mobile training for emergency responders in traffic incident management (TIM) as well as to improve public awareness related to the incredible dangers our firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency medical personnel and tow operators face each day when responding to traffic incidents. This training helps save the lives of first responders as well as the public!
This new company will provide innovative new ways to train first responders by utilizing a service vehicle (which has already been purchased) to bring training TO the responder as opposed to the responder have to take time off or travel to locations elsewhere where similar training is hosted. This will increase the number of individuals trained; therefore, improving safety for all. Our new and customized training program uses techniques which include the use of tabletop exercises, PowerPoint presentations and outdoor activities to provide the best training possible. When not in use as a training tool, the truck with be used at numerous public events (e.g., touch-a-truck, tow expo, parades, etc.) to further our mission to educated the public about the dangers that our responders face and what the public can do to improve the safety of responders working roadway incidents. Your donation(s) will go towards all of the specialized training equipment and materials needed to upfit the truck and to get the job done!
John James (Founder) began in the towing and recovery industry in 2012 as a dispatcher for Cathey Towing. Two years later, with help from the owner, he created the Incident Response Unit for the company which began responding to major accidents and disabled motorists alongside wreckers to assist with quick clearance and scene safety. In 2019, he became an instructor for the North Central Texas Council of Governments TIM Training Program. Then, from 2020 to 2022 he became a Roadside Safety Services Specialist for the North Texas Tollway Authority at both their Fort Worth and Plano locations where he responded and handled incidents impacting travel lanes such as crashes, debris and stranded motorists. In 2023 he participated in a TIM Train-the-Trainer course provided by TxDOT which certified him as an instructor for the National Highway Institute's National Traffic Incident Management Responder Training Course. More recently, John spearheaded the Tow-N-Go Program for NTX Wrecker Service (where he currently serves as the Dispatch Operations Manager) in partnership with the City of Rowlett which provides motorists (in some cases) with no-cost towing when their vehicle breaks down from mechanical failure (e.g., out of gas, overheating, flat tire) in the main lanes, shoulders, ramps or lanes of major roadways and highways within city limits.
Obviously, John's passion for this cause is strong and true. Helping save lives and educate others is what he does. Let's help support him and his cause. We truly appreciate all your support!
