What’s going on!!! My name is Jalen “Jay” Best-Payton, and I’m the founder of Oop! By Jay’s Psychology-Infused Art Studio—a first-of-its-kind space in Tallahassee, Florida, where creativity and mental health come together to heal, empower, and transform lives.
This isn’t just an art studio. It’s a movement. A safe, welcoming environment where people of all ages can walk in, express themselves through DIY art, and walk out feeling seen, lighter, and more whole.
⸻
Why This Matters:
In today’s world, so many of us are struggling quietly with anxiety, depression, burnout, identity, or grief. We often feel like we have to choose between fun and healing. But what if we didn’t have to?
At Oop! By Jay’s Psychology-Infused Art Studio, we use art as a form of therapy—without the pressure. Every session is infused with psychological insight, curated prompts, and soulful activities designed to unlock emotions, build resilience, and nurture creativity. You don’t need to be an “artist”…you just need to show up as you are.
⸻
What Your Donation Supports:
Currently raising funds to open an art studio space. Your support will go toward:
• Art supplies & DIY materials
• Studio build-out and equipment
• Sensory-friendly and trauma-informed design
• Partnerships with therapists, schools, and youth organizations
Whether it’s splatter painting, emotion-based color theory, or guided healing through clay, each workshop is rooted in the science of emotional wellness and the magic of self-expression.
⸻
Our Mission:
To create an inclusive, non-judgmental space where people can make art, make peace with themselves, and build community.
⸻
How You Can Help:
1. Donate — Any amount helps, truly. No gift is too small.
2. Share this campaign with your network—friends, family, coworkers, mental health advocates.
3. Follow our journey as we build something beautiful together.
Let’s co-create a space where healing looks like paint on your hands, music in the background, and peace in your soul.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting and believing in this vision.
With gratitude and color,
Jalen “Jay” Best-Payton
