After undergoing two emergency open-heart surgeries for an aortic dissection, Nicole faces a challenging road to recovery. The surgeries were successful in repairing the tear, but she has since suffered multiple strokes, affecting her mobility. Nicole is also dealing with kidney failure and will need dialysis for the rest of her life.
Despite these immense challenges, Nicole is making progress. She is now off the ventilator and is using a breathing machine, which is a big step forward. She is also able to follow commands and is showing signs that she is cognitively there. Nicole's family shared that she seems to be trying to speak, reacting to jokes with eye rolls, and moving her right arm and hand on command, all of which are encouraging signs.
We have a long journey ahead of us, and your support will make a world of difference. All donations will help cover the immediate medical bills and provide the ongoing care Nicole will need for her recovery and long-term care, including dialysis and rehabilitation, as well as help with daily living expenses for her family.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity, and for keeping Nicole in your thoughts and prayers.
