Support Nick in His Time of Need

As many of you know, Nick is someone who thrives on adventure and staying active—whether it’s hitting the gym, hiking, playing with his favorite nephew and niece, or enjoying a round of golf. He’s also a dedicated Special Education teacher in Fort Atkinson, WI, passionate about shaping young lives and making a lasting impact in his community.

On March 17th, Nick was unexpectedly hospitalized due to neurological complications. His medical team is still working hard to determine a diagnosis and understand what’s happening. During this time, Nick was unable to work, and because he hadn’t been in his position for a full year, he didn’t qualify for FMLA or Short Term Disability benefits.

We’re incredibly thankful to share that Nick was able to return to work on March 31st and is working hard to get back to coaching as well—something he loves deeply. However, his journey is far from over. Nick will continue to need time off for specialist appointments and testing, and unfortunately, he will not be paid for any workdays he misses.

This GoFundMe has been set up to help ease the financial burden of missed work and mounting medical bills. Any amount you can give—no matter how small—will make a meaningful difference in helping Nick focus on his health and recovery without added financial stress.
