UPDATE: Nick has been released from the hospital and is home continuing his healing. We went to the tow yard today and after seeing his motorcycle it is truly a miracle that he is alive. We found out the other driver had minimal insurance and it will not cover any expenses or future expenses associated with healing and getting his prosthetic. Please consider donating to support his journey.
My name is Libbi Hash and I created this account on behalf of Nicholas Nunes. For those who know Nick, you know he was in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, July1st on US1 around 4:30 pm. For those who didn’t know, a vehicle attempted a left turn into Nick’s path and Nick was unable to avoid the high impact collision. As a result, Nick had to have his right arm amputated almost to the shoulder. He is facing the possibility of additional surgeries, a prolonged hospital stay, rehabilitation and on-going medical expenses. He is unable to work and unable to pay his regular living expenses to sustain his household. We will attempt to seek damages from the driver of the vehicle at fault, but that will take time and we don’t have time to wait. So with humility and grace, we are asking for support from others. If you are able, please consider contributing whatever you can. I will maintain control over these funds to guarantee they are being used properly throughout his journey to healing and his adjustment to his new normal.
Thank you for your consideration.
