for the month of Pride, we are determined to raise at least $3,000. this is enough money to publish about 2 journal issues or 1 1/2 books. donate and be apart of building something critical and magical. help us continue to grow, increase our reach, and ensure that brilliant, essential trans* voices get the publication they deserve. any amount you can donate brings us closer to our goal and results in me sending good vibes out to you.

new words {press} was founded in 2023. since that time, we have published 6 issues of our tri-annual journal, a youth edition of the journal, 3 chapbooks, and 1 full-length book with three more on the way! now more than ever, the elevation of trans* voices is critical. but we can't do it without your help. as the press has grown, so have the expenses.

while we are a non-profit trans* and gender expansive press, that does not capture the essence of what we do. the press was founded on the principles of inclusivity and mutual aid. our goals go beyond publishing, seeking to rethink the literary/publishing model, share knowledge, and build community. in addition to our publications, we've also offered low to no cost workshops, a writer's accountability group, and online readings. we're fair sharing financially with authors and paying our journal contributors, as well as many more important actions.
