On Aug 20th, our brother Nate, sustained a serious life-changing spinal cord injury after a fall while on-duty as a firefighter. He underwent emergency surgery for fractured vertebrae but continues to have motor and sensory deficits to his lower extremities. Over the past two weeks he has worked tirelessly with his medical and therapy team to prepare for the next step in his rehab journey. He was recently notified that he will complete his inpatient rehab at Craig Hospital in Engelwood Colorado, a world renowned neurorehabilitation center specializing in spinal cord rehab and research.

Nate has served his community for 24 years as a Honolulu Firefighter. His injury has forever changed his life, significantly impacted his family and shook his HFD Ohana.

We are asking for donations to assist in offsetting costs for Nate and his family throughout his rehab journey. His friends and family will not only need to accompany his during his flight to Colorado, but will be an integral part of his rehab and support as he heals.
