I have a rare autoimmune neuromuscular disorder called myasthenia gravis. It causes me to lose control of my muscles and fall down, but the worst is when I can’t swallow or breathe. Unfortunately, the treatment is very expensive. One infusion can cost $40,000. My insurance covers most of it, but other things are not covered, which is why I am asking for some help to cover the things that are not covered.
The money I get, if I don’t use it for my healthcare, I will donate to myasthenia gravis research. As you can see in the picture, not all my muscles in my face are working. My left eyelid droops, and my right eye drifts off to the side, so it looks like I have a crazy eye. Not all my face muscles are working right now, but I can still eat and swallow.
