The Situation

After years of waiting, research, and appointments, my top surgery is finally scheduled. But as of January 1st, the clinic no longer accepts my insurance. I had to pay out of pocket for the consult, and the surgery will cost $4,000.

It’s a smaller, focused procedure under local anesthesia with a quick recovery, directly addressing my biggest dysphoria. After a tough year recovering from carpal tunnel surgeries, with medical bills piling up, I’m struggling financially.

This surgery is so important to me, but it feels impossible to make happen alone.

I dealt with anxiety, self-harm, depression fulled by self-hatred, unable to accept myself. From a young age, I began binding, long before I even knew what that word meant. I just knew that what was growing didn’t belong to me.

This surgery isn’t about changing who I am, it’s about aligning my body with who I’ve always been. It’s the final step in a journey I’ve fought so hard for, and I’m ready to feel at home in myself for the first time. And that time is now.
